At eight Uttar Pradesh police staff, such as a deputy superintendent of police, have been killed in an encounter with all dreaded criminal Vikas Dubey and his group members at Kanpur on the night of July 2 and July 3.
The experience took place once the police group was coming to detain Dubey, a history-sheeter confronting 60 criminal cases, in Dikru village beneath Chaubeypur police channel.
Since the police group was going to get to the hideout of this dreaded offender, a set of bullets had been showered on them by a building rooftop, leaving deputy SP Devendra Mishra, three sub-inspectors and four constables dead.
He along with his henchmen set up enormous roadblocks to protect against the police employees from moving in their hideout.
On July 3, the Inspector General Kanpur advised that two offenders allegedly involved with the experience were neutralised.
The Yogi Adityanath government originally declared a reward of Rs 50,000 for anybody giving advice regarding Dubey. The authorities assured the identification of anyone who supplies advice will be kept confidential. The reward was scaled around Rs 5 lakh.
